The Caribbean Media Corporation (CMC) has partnered with Barbadian artiste Mikey to launch the “CaribVision Crop Over Experience” and lead a promotional campaign for CaribVision in the region and US.
Lori Weatherhead, Chief Operating Officer (Ag.) at the CMC said: “Mikey’s consistency over the years, inspired this partnership. This is the first of its kind for CaribVision and I am confident persons will find it exciting. This partnership will create unique synergies benefitting all parties involved.
“Mikey has become a trailblazer in the soca arena and an excellent role model for young aspiring entrepreneurs and artistes. His style and charm attract a wide array of fans. The CaribVision Crop Over Experience is a regional promotion, which invites CaribVision viewers until July 11th, to answer a Crop Over Question of the Day by texting their answers to Digicel shortcode 2784. This promotion is open to viewers in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Dominica, Grenada, St. Kitts, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and Trinidad. There will be two winners, each accompanied by a friend, who will receive airline tickets compliments LIAT to Barbados, for various Crop Over events compliments the National Cultural Foundation and Power By Four costumes, in addition to hotel accommodation. In the case of Barbados, the winner will receive airline tickets to a LIAT destination of choice, in addition to the other prizes.
Mikey will also be featured in various CaribVision promotional campaigns over the coming months, aimed at enhancing both brands in the regional and international markets. Viewers can also look out for a video tribute to Mikey, who in 2012 won 4 Crop Over Festival crowns and retained similar crowns the following year.
