Barbados’ DJ Puffy takes us on a ‘bus tour’ of the #RedBul3Style Tour Bus as he tours across Europe as the 2016 #RedBul3Style World Champion.

Red Bull Music 3Style is the home for real DJ’ing. A Worldwide competition that pays homage to the original block parties where DJ skills were first shown that also pushes the culture forward by showcasing the latest and greatest techniques, equipment and approaches to the art of DJ’ing. More than just a competition, it’s a global community that brings together the best DJ’s to learn, develop and celebrate the art of the mix across dance floors worldwide.

It’s about talent, it’s about showmanship, it’s about creating shared moments and experiences that only real DJ’s can. But most importantly, it’s about progressing DJ culture and celebrating passion.

Competitors are judged on the platforms of originality, technical skills, music selection and crowd reaction. They are given just 15 min each to prove that they are the best in the room and they must play a minimum of 3 genres of music in demonstrating their vast DJ knowledge. Judges are comprised of veterans from the scene and work to a strict guideline. Ultimately they have the decision of the winner. Red Bull Music 3Style is a global event series, culminating in the World Finals where the 3Style World Champion is crowned.

The format of competition has been co-signed by many legends from the scene, A-Trak, Jazzy Jeff, Z-Trip, Q-Bert, etc, and must be preserved according the international guidelines.

This year, the world final is set to take place in Krakow, Poland where 21 DJs from around the world will be battling it out in hopes of becoming the Red Bull 3Style 2017 World Champion.
